Designer: angela missonicollection: a wardrobe true to the dna of the label, inspired by miles davis’s clothes collection during the 70s and 80s. new proposals for outerwear pieces such as shawl collar sweaters, shearling-lined pea jackets or belted coats. a silhouette with voluminous jackets and jumpers and fitted trousers. to note: jacquard and other patterns from the archive are reinterpreted in a contemporary way. the evening suits are adorned with lurex thread. cashmere, mohair and wool bring a soft feeling to this protective, easy-to-wear winter wardrobe. interview with angela missoni: the starting point of this collection was obviously to be as eclectic as possible and our focus was on miles davis’s wardrobe. i wanted to design a collection like musical notes, with quite different benchmarks and volumes that also change and are different. a lot of work on knitwear such as knitted jumpers and jackets but which become bigger and that we can put on jackets, on clothes. there are coats, big coats as well, but everything is very easy, comfortable and flexible to touch. we have the impression that there are a lot of outerwear pieces because knitwear becomes outerwear too and of course there is also the more dandy and evening wear side with the shine that’s obtained from our knitting threads.
